Pen Palsfrom Burkina Faso: Upper levels participate in the Peace Corps Program "Word Wise Schools." We have a pen pal partnership with a volunteer in Dolo, Bougouriba,Burkina Faso teaching English in a rural school. Students communicate throughout the year with these Burkinabé students in French. For these students, though French is the official language and the language of communication in the school, it is still their second language. Students in this community speak Dioula and Djan as their primary language.
Français Interactiffrom the University of Texas is used as a resource for all levels. Français Interactif was developed at the University of Texas at Austin as a result of years of collaborationbetween academic and technical professionals, it was funded and created by the UT Liberal Arts Instruction Technology Services and is currently supported by the Center for Open Educational Resources and Language Learning (a National Foreign Language Resource Center), and the U.S. Department of Education Fund for the Improvement of Post-Secondary Education.
Google Classroom is used at all levels as well as for French Club for organizing and streamlining assignments. As a parent or guardian, please contact me to sign up for a guardian version of the classroom.

In addition to a variety of other listening resources, the upper levels use News in Slow French as a resource for accessible and authentic current events. Beginner levels will watch mini episodes of the TV series Caillou, a Canadian series in French that has authentic yet slow and easy to understand language and topics.
